Bequest Language
In order to make a bequest, you should speak with your attorney. Your attorney can help you include a bequest to TOP Jewish Foundation in your estate plan. We have provided some basic bequest language to assist you and your attorney.
1. Specific Bequest
If you are considering making an outright bequest to TOP Jewish Foundation, we recommend the following language:

4. Contingent Bequest

Restricted Bequests
If you are considering a bequest but would like to ensure that your bequest will be used for a specific purpose, please let us know. We would be happy to work with you and your attorney to help you identify ways to give and meet your charitable objectives. We will also work with you and your attorney to craft language to accomplish your goals.
If you are making a restricted bequest, we recommend that your attorney include the following provision to give TOP Jewish Foundation flexibility should it no longer be possible for our TOP Jewish Foundation to use your gift as you originally intended:
If, in the judgment of the Board of Trustees of TOP Jewish Foundation, it shall become impossible for TOP Jewish Foundation to use this bequest to accomplish the specific purposes of this bequest, TOP Jewish Foundation may use the income and principal of this gift for such purpose or purposes as the Board determines is most closely related to the restricted purpose of my bequest.
I give to the Tampa Orlando Pinellas Jewish Foundation, Inc. (TOP), the sum of $____________ OR _____% residue of my estate to establish the _______________Endowment from which the income generated shall be used for (state the agency for which the fund shall benefit). If, in the opinion of the TOP Board of Trustees, it shall become impossible for TOP to use this bequest to accomplish the specific purposes of this bequest, TOP may use the income and principal of this gift for such purpose or purposes as the TOP Board of Trustees determines is most closely related to the restricted purpose of my bequest.
I give (cash of $) OR (___% of my estate) OR (specified property) to the Tampa Orlando Pinellas Jewish Foundation, Inc. ("TOP"), to be held and administered by TOP to establish the (name of fund) Fund, a designated permanently endowed fund named for the benefit of the following organization(s): (examples: ABC Synagogue, XYZ Jewish Federation, LMN Jewish Day School). In the event the previously named organization(s) no longer exist(s), TOP's Trustees shall distribute the funds to provide for similar organizations and use. Distributions from the funds shall be made annually in accordance with TOP's policies and guidelines.
